We all have wasted time trying to rub off tough stains that ruin our new abayas. The heavy detergents not only destroy the fabric yarns but also fade color.
So here are some quick and safe ways to wash your daily hijabs and casual abayas. Don‘t apply them on luxury abayas as they can be dry cleaned only.
Abaya Washing Hacks:

Use Abaya Shampoo
It is very mild and has a soft fragrance. It gently cleans the stains without harming the fabric or abaya design.
Here are the steps to use it:
1.Place your abaya in a bucket
2. Fill it with warm water until the abaya is completely soaked.
3. Add 10ml of abaya shampoo.
4. Let it soak for 15-20 minutes.
5. Take it out and rub the spots where stains remain gently.
6. Rinse with warm water.
7. Hang it in a dry place with warm sunlight. Not directly under the sun.
8. Tadaa, your abaya and hijab will be as good as new.

Removing Oil Stains
We all have been there when we unexpectedly drop food on our abayas. Or while eating the hijab gets in the way and destroys itself. Pheww!
These food stains especially oily ones are stubborn and can totally ruin your new abaya. So there is a hack that must be applied immediately after getting a oily stain.
Here are its steps:
1. Don’t apply water on the stain.
2. Put some talcum powder and if not available a good replacement is flour on the oil stain.
3. Let the powder remain for 10 minutes so that it can absorb the oil.
4. Rub it with a few drops of dish wash as it is good for tough stains
5. Rinse with warm water after 10-15 minutes
If your abaya still looks dirty apply a few drops of coloured bleach but be cautious as it might fade Color. Wash after 15-20 mins to see maximum results.
Your abayas will lose its shine if you wash them regularly and with strong detergent.
So try to keep the washing gentle and use mild abaya shampoos for washing abaya and hijabs.
Also never hang them under direct sunlight as it ruins fabric. Hang them under shade to give them more life
